In case you haven’t heard, Microsoft is getting all bothered about Open Source and the Free Software Foundation (The licenses that bring you Linux and Apache). They’ve had Craig Mundie speak out about Open Source recently, and have instituted their own “shared source” initiative. The rebuttal to “shared source” is humorously at shared-source.com.
Binary Freedom has proposed a Towel Day on May 25th in memory of Douglas Adams’ passing. “All Douglas Adams fans are encouraged to carry a towel with them for the day.” A fitting tribute to a very talented individual.
In case you only get your news from my site (you sorry, sorry person you), Douglas Adams passed away at the age of 49. A fitting tribute is on User Friendly. Thank you, Mr. Adams for all the books, and the belly laughs while reading them.
