Posted by craig  Published in A day in the life

On Friday JoDee and I had this conversation: (Paraphrased)

(JoDee:) You know that lot across the street
(Me:) Yeah

Yet another reason to not use Windows

Posted by craig  Published in A day in the life

Yet another reason not to use Windows. I’m not sure what Microsoft has to do to keep people from exploiting Windows like crazy over a network, but they need to find it in a hurry. No OS is perfectly safe, but Windows is the operating system that people are targetting, and exploiting successfully. If you [...]

I-75 really screwed up

Posted by craig  Published in A day in the life

I’m glad I don’t rely on the I-75 to I-94 ramps anymore, because they recently were charred pretty badly by a horrific tanker fire. Now they’re saying they may not re-open until spring. Ouch!!!

Ximian Desktop 2

Posted by craig  Published in Computers

Well, I recently took the plunge on my RedHat system and installed Ximian’s Xwhich is their Gnome 2.2 desktop system. Overall, it’s a very well put together system, which is what you’d expect from Ximian. My main complaint with it, though, is Gnome’s choice of Metacity. Metacity, for those of you who aren’t familiar, is [...]
