Sick JoDee

JoDee has been sick this past week with some allergies/cold/whatever. Not fun at all.
I’ve added some new sections on the site. (Warning: Technical underpinnings of the site discussed. Commence glazing over of the eyes.) When I converte over to a template system on my pages (Much like JoDee’s or the Motor City Juggling Club pages), [...]

Goodbye, Bob Edwards

Bob Edwards signed off today from his long-standing position on NPR’s “Morning Edition” radio show. He has been the voice of Morning Edition for 24 and a half years. Apart from the inimitable J.P. McCarthy (WJR), Bob Edwards epitomized the morning talk show host: cool, classy, and unshakable. He asked the questions that got to [...]

Snow

Welcome to Michigan, where snow happens well into April. Good Lord, it was snowing today! What’s with that? Ugh!

Whew!

Whew! What a week! Work stuff, home stuff. I feel so behind! Ack!

Just Reading…

Currently reading Just Java by Peter VanDerlinden to brush up on my Java skills. It’s been a while since I touched Java last, and a whole industry has sprung up from what once was considered a novelty language. Amazing how a few years can change an industry, no?

Eating your own dogfood

Joel on Software has an interesting piece on Eating your own dogfood, (A term in the software industry about using your own products), among other useful tidbits.

Oh, and another thing…

The weather outside is WONDERFUL! Finally we can open the windows without having to worry about freezing our tuckus off. :)
