Why “The Secret” isn’t really a secret after all

Why Henry Ford Knew More Than “The Secret” - lifehack.org

I’ve written before on “The Secret” and “What the *bleep* do we know“, and why I think they’re both a bunch of hooey. This article on lifehack.org is an excellent article on why explaining why positive thinking doesn’t need the whole pseudo-science explanations these movies purport are necessary for getting what you want out of life. It’s very much worth a read.

  1. Ockham’s Razor, on ABC radio national, had a fairly recent program called “Nothing is the new something”. I can’t find the mp3, but there’s a transcript. The speaker wrote a book called: The Triumph of the Airheads - and the Retreat from Commonsense.

The mp3 is maybe a half hour. So, it’d take maybe ten minutes to read it.

I still have a copy of the mp3.
