ust got done celebrating the Fourth of July. I'm stuffed and tired. Got up early and did the Clawson parade, where we saw such Michigan notables as Carl and Sander Levin, Debbie Stabenow, and former Governor Jim Blanchard. We juggled in the parade as well with the Dearborn Heights group. It was a load of fun! Afterwards we met up at Subway and had lunch.

After the parade, we had company over. Eating after eating is not a good thing, and my body let me know that not only was it not happy eating twice in short succession, but it also had a bone to pick with me about getting up early. I took a nap and went to JoDee's, where we got some ice cream with Ruth. After JoDee spilled bits of sundaae all over her arms and the table, Ruth (not to be outdone) flipped her cone onto the floor. It was spectacular, and I felt privilidged to be able to eat my ice cream cone without incident. :)

ruth went home after a while, and JoDee and I went to see her friend and her friend's family. They have a tradition of lighting off some rather spectacular fireworks, and this year was no exception. Unfortunately the firecrackers got too close to the table with the rest of the fireworks, and all hell broke loose. I have never seen anything quite like it, and I hope to never see anything like it again. Everyone ran as quickly as they could to get away from the shower of sparks that erupted from the table. Fortunately, the only damage was to the table, the grass, some of the fireworks, and JoDee's lemonade.

All in all it was a pretty good Fourth of July. Now I need a day to recouperate from it. :)
