Well, I've finally given up on Skype. I deleted Skype off of my machine for good, and will likely never return. Did Skype do something to completely piss me off? No, they still remain one of my recommended ways for VOIP on the cheap. Unfortunately there were several issues that I couldn't resolve.
- The Linux version has some serious echoing issues which can be really annoying.
- None of my friends use Skype.
So, that's it. I'm done. What's the use of cool technology if nobody is there to use it? What's the point of communication software if nobody is there to use it?
If anyone knows of a way to do VOIP under Linux that is compatible with other systems, works, and will be used by other people I want to talk to, let me know.
