Playing with The Horde

I’ve been playing with a groupware suite called The Horde, specifically the e-mail client IMP. It’s pretty neat how well this application works. I’m kicking around replacing my current Squirremail implementation in favor of IMP. One feature I really like is the ability to use keyboard shortcuts. Being an old Pine user for many years, I work best when both hands are on the keyboard, although it’s missing some hotkey functionality like Next Message, and Previous Message. Heck, it’s getting to the point where I could probably replace Thunderbird with a web-based client. Now wouldn’t THAT be scary? :)

  1. Next thing you know, you’ll be reading email with emacs.

    SICK SICK SICK!

  3. You *can* navigate through messages with the arrow keys. Even some special effects if combined with Ctrl and Alt keys.
