It’s only 900 pixels high. Sorry, i’ve gotten used to 1600×1200. It’s the small dimension that matters to me. I won’t be upgrading.

I might consider getting a second video card, and running twin 1600×1200 monitors. One of the things i really liked about my old Mac was it’s twin monitors. Since Word could fit a document (at least in width) in 640×480, twin screens allowed side by side comparison of versions of a document. OpenOffice can do this on a single 1600×1200 screen… it’s a feature.

Maybe i’ll get a second monitor for my next system, which will have more than one processor. Then, i could get a second keyboard… and two printers, and two mice, such duplicity.

My 19″ widescreen LG flatpanel is 1440×900, so this is essentially twice the width, same vertical resolution. Still, it looks pretty impressive and will probably still have lower power consumption than my old 20″ CRT. :)

Mmm… World of Warcraft in curved screen glory…

To quote my wife, however: “Oh, HELL no.”
