Last night I got a call from my parents. It seems my grandma fell yesterday afternoon and did a number on her shoulder, hip, and femur. They’re looking to operate on her on Sunday, but in her advanced years, they’re not taking this decision lightly. They have her arm in a splint, and are trying to keep it immobilized. We’ll see what happens. Please keep her and my family in your prayers. I’ll keep you updated as events transpire.

Looks like the surgery is not going to have to happen after all. The doctors seem to think she’ll be able to heal with therapy. Grandma isn’t too happy that she’ll hav eto have an extended stay at the hospital, though.
OK, scratch that. Surgery is happening today. I talked to her this morning, and she seemed quite at peace with having the surgery. I’m hoping all went well. Will keep you posted.

Visited her in the hospital this evening. She’s having her hip surgery on Saturday where they’ll be patching up her femur and pelvis. Hopefully everything will go well. Then it’s time for the arm.
