When I’m not hacking on programs, I bring out my M-Audio keyboard controller and start hacking away at music. I’ve created quite a setup using Linux and other open-source tools, such as MuSE, Audacity, and Ardour.
This is a collection of music I’ve released to the net. All of these works are released under a Creative Commons License.
- Space Noodle
A short noodley piece I did to learn Rosegarden and tweak my setup. - Not So Funky
A short piece to learn more about the amazing MuSE. (5/2005). - Going Back
Some more effects tweaking in a melancholy mood. Sometimes we look back, but there’s no going back. (5/2006). - 4J 2006
Written for JoDee for her birthday. I used the Roland D-110 module exclusively because it has a headphone jack. JoDee was in the room with me when I was composing it. It has lyrics, but unfortunately I wrote it in the wrong key for JoDee to sing it. Looks like I’ll have to write her another song. (*grin*) - Libre
Remixed version of Jono Bacon’s Free Software song.
