According to this article (from Slashdot), approximately 8% of all Windows Sessions require reboot. Just think: 8 times out of 100 times you need to use your machine, you can't because you need to reboot. Would you continue using a car that required attention 8 out of 100 times it was started? Would you trust anything that failed 8 out of 100 times? Granted I'm sure it's not all Microsoft's fault (bad drivers can account for many crashes), but I'm just amazed at the horror stories I hear from people who use Windows and have to re-install their operating system. It's unreal. I may swear at my Linux machine when it acts strange, or when something breaks, but I'd take the warts of my OS over having my computer be completely unusable anyday.
