Register weighs in on iTunes and DRM

This article in The Register starts off with some of the de-hancements that Apple has introduced with newer versions of iTunes in order to appease the RIAA, or lord-knows-who, but later engages an interesting point about DRM in general. It used to be that the Digital Lifestyle meant that you could freely do things with content that you acquired, but with DRM, that's all changed. Now it's an excuse for shoddy delivery and less content, and will ultimately lead to consumers holding on to their old devices. Interesting article.
