OK, I was just informed that I missed a big chunk of the hotel story. Apparently there was lots of behind-the-scenes work going on to mask the smoke. Ruth set me straight, though:

You forgot to mention that I bought Febreeze Air Effects AND Febreeze
for Fabric and JoDee and I doused both rooms while you were setting up
at the convention center. It didn't make that much of a difference in
your room, but mine was passable--at least until I got home and realized
that everything I packed, as well as my luggage itself, was rank with
stale smoke smell.

Ruth is saying they doused the rooms, so I'm sure it was more like a hazmat situation in the works.

Just another reminder, folks, that smoking is bad, M'kay?
