Apparently CompUSA is restructuring their stores, and closing all of the Detroit-area stores. On the one hand I'm disappointed because I enjoyed browsing through the store. Unfortunately that's about all I did at a CompUSA. In the article it's pretty clear why CompUSA isn't thriving: they're the store of last resort, where one would go late at night to pick up some form of networking gear. Now the only store in the area is Lansing.
I'm hoping MicroCenter doesn't fall the same way, but honestly I think they're a better store. At least people seem to shop there.
(Oh, on a related note, JoDee came into the room and told me the news in that parental tone parents use for their kids when a pet dies. I think I took it better than she expected).
