Well, the results of Pyweek 5 are in, and while I didn't place last overall, I think this last effort wasn't as good as it could have been. Some people noted the controls were pretty unresponsive (they were), while others lamented the absence of sound (me too). All in all, I think it was still a pretty good showing, and I'm happy I finished what I could, but the final polish would have pushed this game higher in the rankings (or at least I'd like to think so).
But, enough grousing over spilt-milk. I've got six months to prepare for the next one (I'm totally learning OpenGL for my next game), and I'm becoming more comfortable with Python every day. PyWeek 6? Bring it on!
