Dear Vatican,

I know we haven't been real tight in the past, what with the praying to saints for intercession, the whole seven sacraments thing, and the rejection of basic scientific thought until way after it's ridiculous not to believe it (Galileo, et. al). So it comes as a bit of a surprise to me when I was looking at Slashdot to see an article about you, the Vatican, stating that Creationism and Evolution can co-habitate as a belief system. This is indeed good news, as it seems that other such religious leaders aren't quite so forgiving of Evolution as a theory that can co-exist with the church's beliefs. Thank you for being a voice of reason in this whole debacle. Perhaps someday soon we can even agree on other religious doctrines (But the silly hats? Definitely need to go).
