Gnome and XGL: Break the interface when it's cool to do so

(Deep geek talk ahead. Hold on!)

I'm liking the new XGL additions Novell has added to Gnome (eyecandy is good), but what pisses me off about it is the dragging over workspaces demonstrations. Metacity doesn't ship with the ability to drag windows over workspaces because it's not discoverable for users or some other user interface horse-shit line, yet when it makes a cool demo, user interface be damned!

I should probably shut my mouth now, lest I incurr the wrath of the Gnome developers who will leave me with a window manager that makes Windows 95 look full-featured.
