I got a pointer to this from Mandrake's site about the legislator's opinion that the DMCA is doing exactly what it was designed to do. The article is from Wired Magazine. Of course intellectual propertyholders aren't going to complain about the DMCA. The DMCA gives copyright holders inordinate power over their holdings. Who wouldn't like that kind of control?
In a related article to the DMCA (which is mentioned in the Wired article) is an opinion piece from Linux Planet on the hazards of abolishing items that can be used in a criminal way.
