I just picked up the CD from Mindview for the Bruce Eckel: Hands on Java lecture. It's excellent, but there's one problem with it, and it's not Mindview's fault. Real (makers of RealPlayer) has decided with the latest release for Linux to not support embedded content without having a rtsp://, http://web.archive.org/web/http://, or pnm:// header. That's all fine and good, except that it goes contrary to this guide on Real's website for embedding content. So now what should have worked doesn't work because Real implemented a pedantic check in their code that even they don't recommend. Brilliant.
