While it doesn't have the same panache as NBA Champion Pistons, I think Eastern Conference Champions is just fine. They played hard, and drove it up to the last game of the series (although I didn't watch any of it). I don't think they have anything to be ashamed of. Yes, mistakes were made, but it's a fool who doesn't think he/she could have performed better. And, as with most Detroit sports, there's always next year. (Unless you're hockey, in which case there might be a next season sometime soon).
