Catchup, Flush heard, and Relish

Haven't posted in a while. It's not like things haven't happened, but I haven't taken the time to just sit and think about what's been going on. Some days I feel like I should just get a vat of popcorn and sit as a silent observer in my life, watching the extras, rather than the star shaping the scenes.

Well, today was the day that Inky, the last of the Glo-light tetras, left the tank in a ceremony we like to call "fish-ectomy". It, unfortunately, was completely expected, as Inky's swim bladder gave out a few days prior, and he stopped being able to direct his movements in any sane manner for a few days. Today he was sitting upside down on the bed of gravel at the bottom of the tank, still breathing but unable to muster any kind of strength to move. Later today he ceased even that rudimentary function. He will be missed, and once again the tank is at two fish.

Sarah was over this weekend. Much merriment and video game playing occurred. We played Unreal Tournament on the Dreamcast with JoDee, and spent most of the night trying to figure out Mortal Kombat combos on Midway Arcade Treasures 2.

Took my car in for some suspension work (hurray for days off), but as of yet they haven't determined what the issue is. Lovely.
