It's like having four well-tuned engines in your car

Holy shit.

For the lay-people out there, what this is is 4 high-performance video cards working in tandem to display high quality computer graphics at high speeds in high resolution. Saying that this is expensive is like saying a ride on the QE2 might set you back a few quid. Given that most of the newer cards also ship with some serious cooling hardware, I'm sure one of the high priorities for making this work is making sure you don't raise the ambient temperature of the computer by a few Kelvin. Any bets on how long before a new slot architecture is introduced to handle putting four cards on one motherboard?
