An oldie, but a goodie

This is about how I feel right now when thinking about Java compared with my experiences in Python / Ruby:

Java vs. Ruby stacks
compared

I think a picture speaks a thousand words (no, perhaps that should be pages).
(Thanks to Jon Tirsen for keeping the link up).

After the pyweek challenge, I think I now understand why Bruce Tate et. al have abandoned Java in favor of Ruby and Python. I mean, Python just felt right compared to my experiences with Java. I could just think about the problems I wanted to solve, and the language bent over backwards to help out. I only felt that way a few times in my brief forays into Java, and I attribute that to the Object Orientation doing the helping.
