Checking in for 2023-08-20:

• I've really felt liberated since starting work again on the Pepper&Carrot RPG that I've been working on. It's like a giant faucet of possibility just got opened and I'm considering all of the things that I can give some long-needed attention. Of course the main thing that I'll be focusing on is the RPG so I can make some headway on it in the upcoming months but it's in stark contrast to the contraction I was feeling only a few weeks ago. I'll need to keep that in mind when I start the Lonsurf again.
• I managed to get some more work done on the Pepper&Carrot RPG. It's still going to need a lot of formatting work but at least I have something that I can play with and review.
• Overall my attitude has improved considerably. Naturally I'm wondering how long it'll last but I'm also accepting that this is temporary. At least I have strategies for trying to pull out. And, worst case, I just use that time as a break. Nothing says I always have to be balls-to-the-walls productive all the time.
• Once again there's an influx of new users into the Fediverse. Welcome, friends. I'm sure a lot of folks are wondering if this will be their forever home. I can assure you that The Fediverse is my forever home, in that this will be my last social network. Should everything fall apart then that'll be it. I'm not going to seek out new avenues. I suggest other folks treat it as such, warts and all. I think The Fediverse is our last, best hope. Let's work to make it everyone else's forever home.
