Checking in for 2023-09-18:
- Last week my intention was to work on things to get my lists down and get myself motivated again to work on my meaningful work. I've made some progress on this front but it feels like I'm constantly finding "busy-work" to do instead of working on my meaningful work. Going to have to find a balance between the two, or at least be OK with the results that I'm getting and move on. I think the latter is more likely.
- There is a certain magic to using a timer. I was waffling on what to do so I just flipped my timer-cube over for five minutes and suddenly I had clarity on what I'd be working on for the next five minutes (this post). Perhaps I need to do this more often.
- For next week I'm going to work on clearing a space for my meaningful work because my chemo / appointment weeks tend to leave me without much focus and without much in the way of time in the morning. It'll be challenging but I'm hopeful I can make it work.
