Checking in for 2024-02-07:

Today I woke up and literally decided to head back to bed. I woke up at 10:00, which was just in time to get the Regorafenib (nee: Stivarga, Regonix) from the porch after FedEx made the delivery. Today is the last day of my rest before I start up again with three pills a day for the next 21 days. I'm both looking forward to this and not looking forward to it. Looking forward because I'm hoping this will help my poor liver and not looking forward to it because of the fatigue, hoarseness, and anything else that might come along for the ride. But that's a tomorrow problem, not a today problem. I'm working on keeping focus on what is happening now, in the present, rather than trying to predict the future.

Today's theme was administration. I did manage to get some writing done on my book but it felt like a chore to get there. Hoping to bring back the fun with it. Part of that is because the section that I'm currently working on is pretty complicated and I'm going to have to resort to charts and diagrams to explain it. It was rough enough to get one of the diagrams that is already in the book in there, and my previous luck with SVG doesn't fill me with hope that I'll get something usable that doesn't break everything. But that's a tomorrow problem, not a today problem. I just need to get the draft done by the end of this month.
