Ugh! Seems the new thing in candle scent technology is to include patchoulli in otherwise OK scents. JoDee and I were out just browsing around in several shops, and we smelled some truly awful things. Vanilla with patchoulli. Yuck! Worse, yet, happened when we went into the Yankee Candle Company, and some proud salesclerk excitedly pointed out that their new scent was none other than patchoulli. Gah! Who the heck came up with this? I'm sorry, but if I'm smelling the scent of burning patchoulli, there damn well better be a hippie on fire.
