At work today we were discussing units of measure. There is a program under Redhat 9 called "units", which contains a lot of conversions, and knows if you are trying to convert non-like conversions (such as hectares to litres). We talked about making a new conversion for "Michigan Hours" = 80miles. (For those who don't hail from Michigan, distance here is measured in hours. For instance, driving to Mt. Pleasent was about 2 and a half hours). Is this an accurate conversion? Perhaps we need the NIST?
