Checking in for 2023-07-19:

• Managed to do more work on my Record Shop journaling game. Added theme mechanics, checkout mechanics and closing thoughts. Also added some of my design notes to it. Will give this a read-through / playtest to see how it all works out.
• I'm waiting on my Lonsurf prescription to go through. There's something going on with figuring out benefits so that's holding up everything. Hoping that it gets sorted soon but generally speaking if things get stuck around benefits it'll be a while.
• I've been using the Logitech K480 keyboard as part of my "bathroom computer". It's come in handy for finishing up ideas when I suddenly need the restroom. Thinking this was a good purchase. It literally helped me to finish up the Record Shop game this morning.
• I mentioned before about becoming my own biggest fan, but last night I also realized that I tend to think pretty small about my own capabilities. I was thinking about some of my programming projects and realizing that I tend to think within my own perceived capabilities. That's not necessarily a bad thing but it makes me wonder just how far I could go if I pushed myself beyond these boundaries. How much more could my grasp be if I reached beyond what I think it might be. That's something that I'm going to have to practice with. I'm not exactly sure how this would look or be but that's the beauty of practicing something like this; if I fail I know one of my boundaries and what to work on.
