Checking in for July for my "Designing a Well-Lived Life" blogging. This is about making small changes during the year to make larger changes.
-
Release a storyworld into the wild: Making progress on this, but it's taking longer than I would like. I'm not sure if it'll be any good but I'm committed to releasing something soon to see if what I'm hoping is possible. We'll see how it works.
-
Learn more programming for the Atari machines to get more comfortable creating for them: Getting better at this but still taking some time to understand things like the display lists. Working through two books to get better at this.
-
Finish up or hand-off the Pepper&Carrot RPG: No progress on this.
-
Update the Pepper&Carrot Wiki: Some progress but not much to report. Need to make some concerted effort toward this.
-
Write / Blog more about what's going on: Considering this a huge success. I've blogged more this year than pretty much any other year that I've been blogging. Hopefully folks are enjoying the ride.
-
Work on getting more healthy and as cancer-free as possible: Doing my best with this. I have more appointments this coming month to figure out things and whether I'm a candidate for some form of surgery. We'll see what happens.
-
Meditate: Haven't given this much attention.
-
Declutter, simplify, and focus on the essential: Doing better with this. Need to give this some more attention in the coming month.
-
Relax my frustrations and be more accepting of things as they are: Boy howdy I'm not good at this. Definitely need more practice to let go and stop being so frustrated.
-
Continue removing debt: working on this but it's been pretty slow going. Hoping to ramp up later this year.
-
Hang up my hangups - allow myself to be more creative and playful: Still working on this. I haven't done as much solo role-playing as I would like but I'm starting to feel the itch. Also need to playtest my designs and get them out there.
July was a rough month of feeling my body betray my intentions. Hoping that August will be better.
