I've just released a playtest version of my Record Shop Journaling Game (Alternate Link). I'm not sure when this will be fully released (or even if it will garner much more attention after this release) but I'm putting it out there in the hopes that folks will give it a whirl and let me know what they think.

I've had "playtest this game" on my next actions lists for a while but I've resisted it. Part of that is because I think journaling games can have a performative aspect to them where you feel like you have to be perfect with them. This afternoon I decided (well, Pixel decided) that I'd just sit on the bed and play this game using the most human unreadable of formats: my own handwriting in a journal. The temptation to share this with the world vanished the moment my pencil hit the page. Sometimes I think we need to realize that not everything needs to be broadcast.

The playtest was pretty good with some small things added to the text before release. I'm looking forward to what you think about it. Send me feedback at my contact page.
